Sebastian & Me

Sebastian & Me, comprised of Wayne Meredith, Nick Hoare, Chris Davison and Sam Markley, is a dynamic indie rock band that draws inspiration from a rich tapestry of influences, including iconic acts such as Stereophonics, Oasis. With a sound that seamlessly weaves through the realms of indie rock, their music captures the essence of raw energy. This talented quartet has made waves with their infectious melodies and heartfelt lyrics. Their music resonates with the spirit of legendary bands while infusing a modern flair that keeps audiences hooked. Sebastian and Me have crafted a distinctive sonic identity, embodying the essence of indie rock with a fresh and contemporary perspective. A significant milestone in the band’s journey was the placement of their single, “Typical Boy,” on the ITV show “This Morning” TV program. This achievement not only speaks to the band’s musical prowess but also underscores their ability to create music that captivates a broad audience.

Our pipe band brings together musicians from Banbury and beyond. We perform at public events, competitions, and parades, proudly representing our Scottish heritage.

We wear the Royal Stewart tartan in tribute to both John and Daniel Laidlaw VC, who wore the same tartan during their military service. See the History section for more details.

Dictator

Daring, dynamic and devastating–West Lothian’s Dictator aren’t here to mess about, at least when it comes to creating non–stop indie–pop anthems anyway.

Stepping out of their shell with a substantial stomp in their stride, the four–piece–consisting of vocalist Michael Campbell, guitarist Zach Tarimo Goodhur, bassist Joe Murty, and drummer Allan Ramsay–refuse to be pigeon holed, as they emphatically strut through a sonic landscape of inventive indie licks, electrifying electronics, and perfectly prodigious pop grooves.

Frets and Strings

Frets and Strings: The Band is a collective of local musicians put together as a house band for regular acoustic music nights at Fritwell village hall (Fritwell Live). We  play quirky acoustic versions of popular hits from the 60’s to present day.

Little Sparrow

Little Sparrow is singer/songwriter Katie Ware, a title that came from Elbow front man Guy Garvey, affectionately calling her ‘Cockney Sparrow’ it lead onto her stage name ‘Little Sparrow’.

Drawing influences from the likes of Kate Bush, PJ Harvey and All About Eve, Little Sparrows music creates songs that are filled with a blend of styles, woven into the colourful tapestry of her music, often with a mysterious fairy tale quality.

The Heavy North

Five-piece garage/blues rock band The Heavy North kicked off with a debut headline gig at Manchester’s Night & Day Cafe in November 2018 alongside the release of debut singles “Don’t You Wait For Me” & “The Night Don’t Give No Love”.

Recorded and released on 3rd Planet Recordings and mastered by Mike Marsh at The Exchange in Devon (credits include Nick Cave, Oasis, Kasabian, Chemical Brothers, The Libertines), the band’s debut tracks were described as “a great contribution to Liverpool’s rock scene” by GetIntoThis with The Heavy North’s sound summed up as “dirty scuzzed-up dive bar blues”.

Following a headline show at Liverpool’s Jacaranda Phase One in February 2019, the band’s track “Don’t You Wait For Me” debuted on BBC Introducing Merseyside (16 Feb) with Dave Monks.
