2023 line up
Fritwell Front Row Fest Line Up 2023
We have a great selection of bands for you again in 2023. There will be two stages, the Main Stage for our headline bands and the Acoustic Stage for those with acoustic vibes.
The Hazy Janes
The Hazy Janes are a dynamic rock duo from Halifax, United Kingdom. How the White Stripes might sound if they came from Yorkshire, drank craft ales and listened to Led Zeppelin.
Championed by the likes of BBC Introducing and Planet Rock, the Hazy Janes combine the energy and electricity of ‘60s rock with the groove and attitude of blues legends like Freddie King.
View DetailsNo Fret
No Fret are a young indie rock band from Witney. This exciting new band won the recent Battle of the Bands in Eynsham and have played a number of sold out shows in the Witney area.
View DetailsThe Great Leslie
The Great Leslie is a metaphysical, Bond-like, Spartacus-esque being, originally in the guise of Tony Curtis in his crowning role, and now personified by four ex-cons sent down for indecent assault after, loudly, and in unison, passing wind in a cinema. Made up of Ollie Trevers on Vocals and Rhythm Guitar, Ryan Lavender on Drums, Alfie Pawsey on Bass, and Freddie Miles on Lead Guitar, they have each attested that in another life they would be pirates if it weren’t for their crippling fear of water.
View DetailsThe Dyfies
The Dyfies return from Wales to treat us to another acoustic set. The pure tone of the flute meanders over and around the rhythm of the guitar and a mature, raw voice. Playing original songs and arrangements of tunes both familiar and obscure… from traditional folk to rock anthems, The Dyfies take them and turn them into something new. For you. From the Dyfi valley in West Wales. Enjoiwch!
View DetailsLa Phooka
We’re an Oxfordshire based 5-piece band of all different shapes and sizes.
Together we play original songs & tunes (along with a clutch of covers).
What style? Listen here for a fuller picture … but we range from folk-pop, upbeat foot-tapping, dancing-shoes-on numbers through to beautiful ballads and instrumentals. From whistles and bag-pipes to bouzouki and mandolin, from diatonic accordion to all manner of guitars. And bass & drums of course. Multi-part harmony vocals complete the sound.
View DetailsFrets and Strings
Frets and Strings: The Band is a collective of local musicians put together as a house band for regular acoustic music nights at Fritwell village hall (Fritwell Live). We play quirky acoustic versions of popular hits from the 60’s to present day.
View DetailsHannah Scott
Hannah Scott performs contemporary folk music and is building a loyal following thanks to her distinctive voice, powerful melodies and thought-provoking lyrics which leave a lasting impression on her audiences. She draws much of the inspiration for her music from her affinity with Italy. A year living and working on an olive press in rural Tuscany in her late teens provided the backdrop to her early work, and the draw of the country and its influence have not faded with time.
View DetailsLittle Sparrow
Little Sparrow is singer/songwriter Katie Ware, a title that came from Elbow front man Guy Garvey, affectionately calling her ‘Cockney Sparrow’ it lead onto her stage name ‘Little Sparrow’.
